Maybe those Cherokees were after him, still lots of 'em up in the old north west!

Everybody join in....

The yellow on the hub/ wheel centre, suggests it was an emergency spare he was using, rather than a normal tyre and wheel.

it could have been worse though, driving into a river or stream to dip the headlights or open driver side door to let the clutch out...  Roll_eyes

@harrym1byt

Well spotted, could also be why it stripped as those things have a speed restriction I believe.

@Minivanman

There is indeed a speed restriction on those, I believe it's 50mph (although when they first came into being it was 30mph). The speed warning should be on a label stuck on to the wheel when first bought.

Good to have several changes of clothes so you can always find the right gear.

Re: Three wheels on my wagon

I was expecting to see something like what many will probably remember.

An old Citroen GS actually on three wheels because their suspension would work fine with three. I think one was caught going a lot faster than the Vauxhall on a motorway.

Plenty of vids on YouTube of GS's doing this but I doubt if police had video cameras back then when the Citroen was caught.
