This Week quiz

I wonder how anyone else watching This Week did in the quiz - we got one right. The questions were:
Which party first proposed lowering the voting age to 18 as a manifesto commitment?
Which party first proposed all day opening for pubs as a manifesto commitment?
Which party first proposed passports for pets in their manifesto?

Re: This Week quiz

I dont remember who said those particular things.
However, now that you mention it, I do recall that passports for pets.
Just a gentle reminder here how the political parties and their manifestos operate.
A previous party introduced `passports for pets`
Latest party in govt are now talking of introducing `microchips` for all dogs.
In contrast, WE, the citizens, must have a `passport` for foreign travel.
...and the next logical step for citizens is......?
(microchips for citizens, of course.) The microchip having been the very thing that
was used to tag pets & cattle (the beasts) Used in the future to tag citizens.
I believe there`s a warning about the mark /beast somewhere?
That`s how it works, and its all planned well in advance.
The next party put in just runs abit further in the relay towards their new world order.
Cameron may, if elected, appear to get rid of some of this brother technology, but
imho it will come down on us from the EU, over which Cameron will have no
judisdiction.    Surprising really how an electoral candidate can actually be speaking
both the truth and a lie at the same time.

Re: This Week quiz

Voting age lowered to 18 - was introduced in the 70`s I believe.
By whom, I`m not sure.
Passports for pets - probably introduced by Labour - but it was
an EU concept.
All day drinking - was also, I believe, a Labour concept - and one
which I think they now realise has had an adverse effect.

It's worth finding out the answers - they put a very different light on things.
