Re: Theresa May

Let's face it, Brown was on his way out as he was on his way in as Blair was a tough act to follow but really, is it that important to her?

Don't see it m'self.

She might be toast, be she'll not be popping out any time soon. Wink

Re: Theresa May

From the Independent she is “expected to announce a departure plan".

Well given her 'we are leaving the EU' record over the past three years, I don't see that happening.

Just straws in the wind journalism.

Re: Theresa May

Likely to be false news but seems she was seen purchasing super glue from a local store.....certainly making sure it's going to be difficult to move her.

Re: Theresa May

Well that's three votes for Nigel.

One from me, and two from my next door neighbours who gave me their proxy vote for Plaid Cymru! Wink

I liked the remark from IDS last night - 'She's got the sofa up behind the door'.

Re: Theresa May

I think 'the quiet man' should just do that, keep quiet.

She might have dragged this out into a deal that nobody wants, but he is not even in her league if he thinks he has a cat in hells chance of being captain of the Conservatives again.

As Churchill said of Attlee, " a modest man who has a lot to be modest about".

The pack of cards have been falling since May took power. Only 52 in a  deck right? Not including the Joker Smiley

Three hundred and thirty cards actually... well that was when the game started.

@Minivanman Shame on you, defrauder of innocent persons' suffrage rights. I hope other friends are on to you.Grin

More seriously, what checks are made on proxies to ensure they are the true representatives of the donor?

With postal votes a copy of the signature is held for comparison with that  accompanying the ballot paper, but I know my signature varies considerably. It seems to be a not uncommon problem, so how expert is the comparison with the file copy, and are my votes accepted or not?

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Theresa May

@Luzern

In my case I had a letter for each of my neighbours (they are away for the month) from the Electoral Service in Carmarthen which I then handed to the officers in the election hall.

They knew I was the person named because of my own polling card, but I also took extra ID... just in case. Wink

@artmo

Not at all, the post was relevant to both threads.

Have you had a bad day? Sounds like it. Sad

Re: Theresa May

Not at all. I just get fed up with your constant posts in any thread even when you have nothing to say. Maybe you are chasing your post rate. You seem to live in front of your screen.

Judging by a few PMs I am not alone in my opinion.

Re: Theresa May

Why must you try to turn it into an argument @artmo

I have things to say and "nothing to say" as do we all at times and anyway, how is any of it affecting your personally. I don't live in front of my screen and even if I did, why on earth should that be any of your concern?

I know what it is, you are missing me from that Brexit thread aren't you. Grin
