Re: The wifes going to go nuts

It's always fun how an animal expresses it's disapproval for furniture it doesn't like... Grin

That and I'm guessing the dog gets to have them leather chew things, so, they smelled the leather and decided it was a big chew to chomp down on... Funny

Household insurance will only cover the damage if you have paid extra for accidental damage.

This could lead to a row with the wife Wink

Re: The wifes going to go nuts

Guy up the road from us has two boisterous black labs, he was supposed to go into hospital for an endoscopy,  Went to the surgery to collect laxatives prior to hospital visit, whilst going to the surgery he collected the local newspapers for the local hamlet, dropped off the dogs and shopping and wandered around delivering the newspapers.

Whilst he was away the two dogs ripped apart and partially consumed the laxatives.

Think I'd prefer  trashed new leather seatsUndecided

Re: The wifes going to go nuts

Hate to put a damper on things or be unsympathetic, but had dog been left on its own for most of the day? It does sound like it in which case the poor chap was probably bored to distraction.

If you leave an animal to run free in your home all day then don't be surprised when this happens and whatever you do, don't blame it for something that ultimately you were responsible for. If you must leave it on it's own then consider getting a good sized dog cage in which to keep it in along with any bedding.

Some breeds don't seem to mind being left but those such as terriers so easily go round the twist.

PS. We left out Jack Russell on it's own for under two hours and when we got back the little blighter had pulled the bedding from the bed and shredded our new mattress!  Grrr, should have followed my own advice. Roll eyes

I know where I am, I've been lost here before.
