The think tank founded by Iain Duncan Smith has let the cat out of the bag and

admitted that reducing unemployment to zero is neither feasible or desirable.

The comments come in the latest report from the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), the madcap Christian dominated think tank that came up with Universal Credit. The CSJ praises George Osborne’s drive for full employment (stop laughing) but points out that this does not mean everyone should have a job, but that employment levels remain at a level which does not cause inflation.

Re: The think tank founded by Iain Duncan Smith has let the cat out of the bag and

you think they'd tell the truth at least and mention that some people shouldn't be pushed into doing something they don't want to as it only causes problems in the long run, never mind that its actually desirable for at least one parent in a family not to work but instead raise there kids (which breeds a healthy society)....
but no instead they completely skip over any social aspects and focus instead on some whiffling pish about desirable economic factors
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

is funny they dont say why its not desirable?
is it because without unemployment, the employment market turns in the employees favour and wages rise.

Re: The think tank founded by Iain Duncan Smith has let the cat out of the bag and

I'm clearly missing something here.
Full employment was a primary, stated aim of all governments from 1945 to Maggie Thatcher, so there's nothing new there.  Full employment also can never mean everyone employed as, not only will there always be people moving between jobs, but the economy also needs to have a pool of available workers from which growing businesses can draw.  The alternative is unsustainable wage inflation - great for the workers (who the Tories don't care about) but lousy for business (who the Tories do care about).
So .. what's new?
