The plusnet font

Hi,
Not really chit-chat, but where else would I put this...
Does anyone know the name of the font that plusnet uses for "good honest broadband from Yorkshire"?
The lower case t and f are quite distinctive - but I can't track the font down!
Any help gratefully received!
Ta,
Stuart

Re: The plusnet font

Hi there,
It's a custom version of VAG Rounded - http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/adobe/vag-rounded/ (that's not quite the same one but it's very close).

Re: The plusnet font

here is a linky to some "interesting" fonts....
http://cooltext.com/Fonts
although it does not contain VAG Rounded... (which appears to be commercial and not free ! Cry )

Re: The plusnet font

Well, I have VGA Rounded in my fonts collection in Win 7.
Whether it was pre-installed or I added it as a collection (which I have done from time to time) in the distant past I couldn't say.

Re: The plusnet font

Cheers guys.
I was actually after the font used for the "great value broadband from Yorkshire" line - which is a bit different (unless my eyes are going wonky - always possible!).

Re: The plusnet font

There's one in shutters collection called "Glamour Girl" which seems to be a modified VGA rounded.
@shutter, there are some quite good fonts in there.

Re: The plusnet font

but have you got VAG rounded, dont forget Shutter likes the Volkswagen family
3 Dec 2007 – About this font family. Developed for Volkswagen AG in 1979, VAG Rounded is a variation on nineteenth-century grotesque sans serif designs

Re: The plusnet font

Hi Matt,
Brilliant - thanks!
I'd found one similar on their website (Chalet New York 1980) but hadn't spotted the Chalet Comprime Cologne 1980 (who came up with these names!?!)
Now to decide whether it's worth paying all that cash for my new logo!
Cheers,

Have a look under "Techno" for
Techno Overload
Lotusflower
Love Parade
Don`t forget, you need it to be easily read, as well as easily recognised....  Cool

Re: The plusnet font

Hmmm, nice!
But....I'm not quite convinced they fit the bill for my serious market research consultancy!
Think I prefer some of those in the Sans Serif category.
