Re: The great...

Maybe 'shutter' would be interested if this weeks challenge was to bake "ship's biscuits",
and then watch Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood pretending to enjoy them during the judging !

Re: The great...

I must admit I DO enjoy this series. The filming leaves something to be desired though.. 5 min to go and they are still in the oven, judging and they are all OK Huh?

When I have a small plate of Oaties ( Aldi Hobnobs ) ready to dunk in my mug of Tea, I tap the edge of the biscuit on the plate, to dislodge any loose crumbs.
Keeps the Tea "cleaner".
Then the plate ( and also plates having had toast ) crumbs are tipped into the kitchen bin.
Keeps the dishwasher / washing bowl water "cleaner"
I've never found any Weevils either.

Or past date surplus malted milk tablets from the ration packs in a ship's lifeboat.  The goo made a superb caramel which was unsurpassed in its ability to remove tooth fillings.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Similar to the substance obtained by boiling whole tins of condensed milk for 3-4 hours. Roll eyes
