The collective noun for Geeks!

So, to help settle a discussion I've been having with a colleague...
What should be the collective noun for geeks?

A simpleton, a dupe; a person who is socially inept or boringly conventional or studious; spec. an assistant at a sideshow whose purpose is to appear as an object of disgust or derision.

Re: The collective noun for Geeks!

A quick Google found:
A Rumple of Geeks
A social awkwardness of Geeks
a faffing of Geeks
a subnet of Geeks
a quibble of Geeks
A circus of Geeks
A grok of Geeks
a 00111000011100111110 of Geeks
A cluster of Geeks
A matrix of Geeks
An intelligence of Geeks
but I voted for Array

Uhmm!! an excitement of geeks??...sounds like a contradiction of terms.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: The collective noun for Geeks!

The problem with an 'array' of geeks is that 'array' can already mean something next to 'geeks', in the same way that 'array' works with other nouns. So if 'array' was adopted to describe a collection of geeks, its meaning in use would become unclear, because it could mean either 'a collection' or 'many different types'.

That's helped me to make my mind up.  Can you guess which option I went for?  ;-)  <chuckle>
