The best James Bond

Announced on the BBC. Daniel Craig is the best 007.  No announcement needed, it was obvious.

Re: The best James Bond

Absolutely right.
Pierce Brosnan, was probably the most like the books character. All the others were awful, especially the stuffed-dummy acting of Roger Moore, who's only credit was the ability to raise one eyebrow independently from the other. Even his scenes of passion were at best unconvincing.
However, it depends on what you thought the films were meant to achieve, tongue-in-cheek comedy or serious action thrillers (Roger Moore wasn't particularly good at the former either seeming to need a lot of notice for his joke cues)
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: The best James Bond

Maybe it's a bit controversial to say but I thought George Lazenby was very good, compared to the rest.
Even without his Turkish delight.

James Bond will return in http://www.007.com/
I've always liked Sean Connery as an actor but have to say Daniel Craig fitted the character better.

Re: The best James Bond

Each Bond has his merits so I suppose it depends what you are looking for.
I particularly liked Timothy Dalton but still feel Connery to be the best with Graig a very close seconnd.

Sean Connery!! Oh do come along Strat, he only has one acting persona, he even used it right at the end as King Richard in Robin Hood with a husky Scottish accent (no offence to our neighbours north of the boarder.
Correction/ he was quite good in "The Hill" and "Rising Sun"

Re: The best James Bond

Roger Moore was definitely the best Bond followed by Brosnan. I've never liked Denial Craig who just doesn't seem to have the right persona about him (and there seems to be a distinct lack of action with him). Unfortunately he was the cat that got the cream with Her Maj at the opening ceremony so no matter how bad he is as Bond he's going to be the most famous Bond in history.

Don't you all think that some started off well but then went down hill.
I'm particularly thinking of Connery and Dalton who were quite bloody and brutal in their first outings.
