The Webcams and IE

The webcams keep freezing on Firefox, so i thought i;d try good old IE
However when i go to open a webcam i get this
"The AXIS ActiveX Camera Control, which enables you to view live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, could not be registered on your computer"
I have googled it and installed the activeX myself and rebooted but still no joy. IE is set to allow them to install and run
Should i just go back to vista? or try and perservere with XP MCE 2005?
Cheers
Pete

Re: The Webcams and IE

I've get exactly the same problem with the Axis control, so I just resort to using FireFox .. though I would also be interested to see how it can be made to work elsewhere.

Re: The Webcams and IE

Follow the instructions in this thread (post by John_Essex) and the web cams should then work in IE.
