The May Speech

Just listened to most of it....    and not entirely sure what she has said for definite, apart from the fact that there will be a Parliamentary vote before a final agreement. It's getting very repetitive now. Lots of bland stuff there.

Re: The May Speech

I think it was good that she spelt out we are not rolling over and saying the obvious that any punitive action by the EU would be just shooting themselves in the foot.

And the £ rallied a bit if that means anything other than the money men just using the current situation to line their pockets.

Re: The May Speech

She actually made a very arrogant statement...  Quote. "And another thing that’s important. The essential ingredient of our success. The strength and support of 65m people willing us to make it happen."

Unless she has her head buried right up somewhere, she must realise surely that even she does not have the support of 65 million people willing it to happen! That has already raised some eyebrows I can assure people.

I can take it or leave it personally, but she is starting to sound more like Thatcher every day. Ticked_off

You don't think losers cannot be winners?

Best suck on a sour grape then because we are on our way at last, and happy to have the doubters on board.

And laying waste to a bunch of pompous Eurocrats with a handbag would be a bad thing?

Sir, do not make assumptions about my views. It does not suit you well!

Re: The May Speech

I hope she has more luck getting our cashback from the EU than some customers have getting theirs from PN.  Perhaps we should remind her to follow the instructions in Article 50 and a cheque will be on its way after two years.
