The Crying Shame

I bled tears from the wounds in my heart
Which rose to my eyes and blinded them.
My eyes were blurred to the suffering of others
As I dwelled on my own pain.
They dried and the crusts tore my skin,
The salt tainted my food and my mind.
Who would believe the sores would not heal,
Or relief would be so hard to find?
And then you turned up,
A comfort without compare;
I plucked you lovingly from your perch,
A bogey, complete with nasal hair.

Re: The Crying Shame

I'm guessing that you stood up to applaud and your knee gave way.

Grin
I was going to offer you my hankie to clean it up but I don't have one. Sad
Maybe I'll get one for my birthday next year.
