As a side issue some countries could get a map up of another country and hit any part of it from miles away just using a computer, just imagine if someone like Hitler had access to todays technology or perhaps it's better not to imagine !

I remember hearing V1s coming over - we called them Doodlebugs. If the engine cut out after it had passed you were safe.
Used to watch ack ack batteries trying to hit them in mid air.
We had proper war games when I was a kid
