so the kings speech is up for every award aside from best actor, find that most odd.

In total The King's Speech got 12 nominations - not far off the record for nominations but not quite.

I don't think he's very welcome in Hollywood at present Wink Wink  Some of his remarks made me laugh though.

In post #4 I mentioned The King's Speech, with 11 nominations, was not far from the record.  The films that had the most nominations were Titanic in 1997 and All About Eve in 1950. Both received 14 nominations.

I don't particularly like these awards ceremonies. The film industry (and other entertainment media) -in my opinion- takes themselves far too seriously.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.
