Or indeed a cereal killer.  🤔

@198kHz

That reminds me of the 106 year old cowboy in Texas who recently died. He was asked on his last birthday earlier this year his secret to longevity.

He told them that for the past 50 years he had sprinkled a little gunpowder on his cereal each morning.

He left behind 8 children, 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and a 25-foot hole in the crematorium.

Re: Terrible News

I said to my sister, I have foxes coming over to my garden.

For me that is fine - it is nice to see them come over to mine and enjoy themselves.

So I asked, "How can I help them?", "What do I put out for them?".

Sister said "Dog food. Just get the cheapest one".

I didn't believe it and took it with a pinch of salt. Nope not at all - they love it.

So now I think I am comitted to buying and putting out dog food, even though I don't own pets let alone a dog. Not that I mind. I find it funny. 🤣

Seems they eat virtually anything , but coming back on topic - do they like Marmite?  🤔

Re: Terrible News

@Alex I suspect that this is something you will end up regretting early next year when the mating season begins, have you ever heard the screech of a male Fox at this time! Chez Alex will be on the list of go to places for fine dining so you will end up with more and more of them and it'll start to get very annoying, not just with the foxes but the neighbours too.

Re: Terrible News

Fair enough @Mook but after the fun and games I have been through (*Nope Alex don't go into it here*), I respect life more.

So I'd like to think it has made me a better person.

I will bear what you said in mind. I do sometimes hear their screetches even now.

Re: Terrible News

There is nothing wrong with feeding wild animals @Alex provided it's done only when necessary, i.e. a bad winter and in the right environment. Having the right type of wildlife in your garden is great, but having you and your neighbours bins trashed when the foxes decide they need more food isn't, nor is slipping on a fox turd.

Re: Terrible News

Yep fair enough, but in this day and age with my council the bins are plastic bad boys are a bit hard to break into.

I know what you mean about them ripping open bags. Sure that has happened to me, back in the days at University at Birmingham, many years ago now. Pain clearing that up.

I know what you mean about animals needing a No. 2 (*shall we say*). I don't know if you drive, but I do - I think people here will know what it is like when you want to go out in your car and a bird has done a nice No. 2 all over your windscreen. 🙄

Serious question.  Do birds do No. 1s?

@ffox

I don't know, but I'd doubt it considering the consistency of the No 2s.

Yes / possibly / maybe - take your pick.

Like some fish, birds only have a single orifice called a cloaca.
