After watching the rubbish that was Terminator 3, I thought I would humour Terminator Salvation. This is an amazing action film for all those kids who are too young to remember the original Terminator. I have several issues with it including the fact that John Connor shot the T800 Arnie version without thought?! Why can Hollywood not use modern day special effects to give us new stories and adventures? Why do they feel the need to destroy the legacy of two of the greatest movies of all time, The Terminator and Terminator 2? The story ended there, let it lie, this is not Rambo or Friday 13th!
Unfortunately it's just another franchise to make money. T: Salvation was enjoyable on it's own but, like you, I have many reservations about the story line. If you'd also watched Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles then T3 has no place at all and Salvation becomes quite meaningless. I'd rather have had a further SCC series or for T4 to have taken over where that left off. As it stands it's like having three different stories. But , hey, it's just entertainment
