Teaser Rates

Apparently banks are to be investigated over "teaser rates". Those accounts that give an attractive rate of interest for a year after which it usually drops next to zero.
One bank boss even going as far to say they are dishonest.
But you could say "teaser rates" apply to many things. Even ISP's "special offers".

Re: Teaser Rates

It applies to many not so special offers.
From banks, power companies, ISP's and the rest. They're all at it so why just investigate banks?
Introductory offers, special rates, price guarantees. All designed to suck us in but before we know it they are gone like the wind.
For once I agree with a banking boss. The "teasers" are dishonest as they depend on enough of us to be "just bloomin` stoopid" and stay with them as the majority apparently do.

And like Easyjet you have to remember to add on all the other costs.
Even then it's only a temporary total.
