TalkTalk are quite sexist

Was looking about on the TT website and I have come across a quite sexist remark regarding Openreach engineers.
Openreach engineers can be male and female (he and she)
Look at the picture attached.  It says 'He' the majority of openreach engineers maybe male but doesn't mean that there is no female engineers.
I've actually seen an female engineer a few times.

Re: TalkTalk are quite sexist

or they used brevity instead of pc gone stupid, its a perfectly acceptable trait to pick one or other sex so long as it portrays the majority, it aslo saves text space for other things instead of typing (s)he or he/she at every point some companies have gone a different route and make all the workers androgynous through the use of "the [jobtitle]" wxyz  which is far more offensive if your into taking offence to faq's
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Describing technicians as Engineers is so wrong.  Wink
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: TalkTalk are quite sexist

Right, I'll try the post I did yesterday again.
Sexual discrimination should've gone out with the Dark Ages IMO, I mean come on, 15 years ago I was on the Dole, and set myself up an interview for a customer service job at the local Co Op, the Manegeress looked my Record of Achievement from College and told me to my face that the I was over-qualified and the job would be beneath me because I was better qualified than most of their Managers.
More to the point, I asked about working on the till or on the Kiosk, she said they exclusively used women on the tills and the Kiosk! Um, what? Even 15 years ago that was probably illegal IMO.
