It was commented on somewhere else other than here that in 'our day' we recycled pop bottles, chip papers, bought milk from 'Ernie', walked to school, few families had a car - but to be fair who produced those plastic bottles, bags, toys, polystyrene, stopped buying milk from the milkman because supermarkets were cheaper, and drove them to school in 4x4's and took them on ozone destroying aeroplane to a far off holiday destination.

Err, we did. Prior to that it was our own parents that provided us with stuff we could recycle. Just saying, and just saying despite posts to the contrary not to blame the kids.  Smiley

This article describes recycling as a 'displacement activity' - could be spot on, how about re-using instead ?
