Summer Clothing

I went round to my daughters today and she says "why have you got a coat on on a day like this"?
I've explained this before many times, women have bags, men need pockets.
I have keys, glasses, a bus pass and a few coins so I need coat / jacket with at least 2 pockets.....unless someone has an alternative.
If I don't take a coat I have nowhere to put these things (trouser pockets have wallet and phone).

Re: Summer Clothing

I used to have many an argument with my dad over him wearing a coat or jacket in the summer.
Pockets was his answer, too - cigarettes in one, lighter in the other Cheesy

Re: Summer Clothing

My twin brother is exactly the same. Even on a hot day he'll insist on taking a coat to put his money and keys in. I've always put these in my trouser pockets, never lost a thing....yet Smiley

Sounds just like me. Sunny day and I often still end up wearing a light coat over a t-shirt.
If I didn't where else would I put everything?

Re: Summer Clothing

I have my phone in one trouser pocket on it's own to avoid damage.
The other pocket has my wallet.
I don't put anything of value in trouser back pockets for obvious reasons.
Man bag...where have I heard that before Undecided

Re: Summer Clothing

If I fill up my trouser pockets it's uncomfortable and awkward to get things.
Coat pockets are just so much more easier.

I would give that a go but the "swinging" would give things away.

So very true Strat! I usually end up needing 3 or 4 pockets myself too. Wallet, keys, mobile (bl**dy thing), pen, the odd screwed up bit of paper with important notes on etc..
