Submerged camera's memory card retains photos...

...........after over a year in the Atlantic. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8509619.stm
The camera owners from South Africa, who lost it en-route from New York to Southampton on the cruiseliner QM2 in 2008 have now been identified.
I bet they thought that was gone for good.

So, If  they claimed for it on their insurance, and got paid out, does that mean they will have to return the money, and stick with the "damp" camera?  Roll eyes

I once left a usb stick drive in my shirt top pocket , and it went into the wash.
It survived a 40C wash with detergent and a rinse and spin dry -
but I didn't power it up for about a week, left it somewhere warm.
Every files intact  Grin

Same. i'm surprised that my usb stick is still in good working shape since putting it in the wash so many times.
