Stop Complaining about a Little Snow

If we think we've had it bad this week just have a look at these pics from Orillia, Ontario.

Re: Stop Complaining about a Little Snow

Wow, could you imagine the UK coping (or rather not coping) with that quantity of snow!

Re: Stop Complaining about a Little Snow

I was born into the winter of 47 when trenches we allegedly dug to get from A to B.
I'm just grateful that forward facing buggies hadn't been invented then.

Who knows we might have to start tunneling everywhere if this going to become commonplace, either that or use metal studded tyres.

Re: Stop Complaining about a Little Snow

Seems barmy how we get a few days of snow and everything seems to grind to a halt. I am sure that the news services make the situation worse as they panic everybody. Just been for a walk to the shops and it is lovely - fresh, cool air and everything looks so beautiful.
It will soon disappear so I am trying to enjoy it, as are my Cairns.

Re: Stop Complaining about a Little Snow

Walking in it is not bad unless you are being pulled along by a Cairn terrier that thinks it is a Huskie!  But driving does not look too good - the snow we have had today looked packed in places on the road or slushy in other patches so hope it does not freeze tonight.
I go on an American Forum for Cairn owners, and some of the photos f the snow there make ours look nothing I agree.  I posted a pic of ours with Holly on it and labeled it "English Style Snow". The responses I got were so funny - they have watched CNN and think that we have such a bad time when it snows - so they thoght I must taken my pic before the snow came down properly!  must put another on now we have more!

Errr
Good job I'm still off with my shoulder as I'm pretty much snowed in so while it looks nice its a bit of a pain.
Hope it clears by tomorrow

Re: Stop Complaining about a Little Snow

it rained overnight and today the roads and, more importantly, the paths were mostly clear.  i gladly took the opportunity to go to the shops to stock up on comestibles cos word has it we're in for more snow.  buses were running too and some post arrived.
