Statinists please walk on the outside!

Two juxtaposed items in a recent Daily    Telegraph amused me in what could be thought an oddball way. Should we takers of statins out of concern for others voluntary cede the inside of pavements to non-takers, or br forced?

It's vital to the health of the nation after all.

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Is that London Bridge?

Blimey, never ever saw it that bad, but then it has been more than a few years since I last walked over it.

As for Stalanists, keep them off I say!

I never wrote anything about Stalinists or Satanists. It's Specsavers for you. I wrote, "Statinists", a Luzern word for those who ingest statins. Cheesy

Well there's a lot being kicked around these days.

Corbynister, Bremainers (although I prefer Bremoaners) but none so far it seems for Mrs May.

The Maybeliever's perhaps? Wink

"Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage."

So said H L Mencken, among other shrewd observations -

Well it's far from perfect and is what we make it, which is imperfect.

Banana anyone?

@Luzern

As for those statins, my doctor had me on those because of my high blood pressure but blimey did they make me feel poorly. I checked my blood pressure every day for weeks whilst on them, and checked it every few day for weeks whilst off them.

Result? No damned difference other than feeling much better so now .... well I don't bother with 'em.

Re: Statinists please walk on the outside!

Yet recently the view is turning in favour of them. As with all drugs there can be side effects, and when several are prescribed, who can be sure of what will react with what. It's so easy to blame the recent addition to our lengthening list, and then something adverse comes along. We blame it, but the real reason is another long taken drug's incompatibility.

TBH It's all part of the complication of  C21st life's complications, but I'll stick with 10 tablets a day. better that then what was available to my forbears.
