Sprouts

We love our Sprouts !
Cooked al dente, lovely and sweet.
A recent TV programme said that growers have been producing sweeter tasting Sprouts over the past few years.

We bought some different Sprouts from local suppliers, and a couple of Supermarkets last week, to test their longevity before use, so we don't need to buy them just before Christmas.
We found that Tesco Sprouts, kept in the fridge unwrapped, lasted the longest, and still tasted good after nearly a week.
How do you keep your Sprouts ?

BTW, it appears that Scientists have found signs of Sprout eating Cows on Mars !!

Re: Sprouts

Cooked with smoked bacon pieces, chestnuts and a hint of oregano in a light olive oil (not butter)

Re: Sprouts

The only sprouts I like are the ones I grow myself. A dwarf small variety.
Pick them when you want them all through winter.
The problem for me is much of the shop bought  larger sprouts taste more of cabbage (to me) rather than the slightly peppery sprout taste.

Re: Sprouts

I love sprouts but, I've said it before, they don't like me Sad
Won't stop eating them, though. On the plus side it does mean I get the sofa to myself for a while Cheesy
