I love the odd coating of snow because then our garden looks as good as the neighbours ....

Not as far west in Cornwall as you @Hobo but we didn't get the light snow which was forecast, temp here now 1.5°C.
Edit: 1.5°C according to car.

I always make sure there is some fresh water which has not frozen and extra food when the ponds and ground are frozen

Snowing lightly from time to time for the past 48 hrs here in west London. Despite the low temperatures much of the snow disappears before the next 'shower'. Worrying forecast for tomorrow night (-6C) but the BBC website has now changed that to -5C. I seem to remember that we had -8C one year so hopefully I needn't worry too much, except about the size of the gas bill.

We were -7 last night but down to -11 about 5-6 yrs ago.
I will give the road gritters round these parts their due. Very rare to venture out early and not find the roads gritted. Although I'm trying to work out what goes with the A15. They only seem to do one side of it. Maybe they hope the vehicles will spread it around. 🤔

It must be, I noticed several dandelions in full bloom earlier today on the small back lawn.

Two big bunches of daffs in my tiny little flower- bed (not in bloom, but I can see yellow), and loads of crocuses on the grassed are up the lane.
Lots of different flowers and plants coming to life in my (slightly detached) front garden, but that is my sisters 'playground' so I leave that to her and just enjoy it in the summer.

Did our first bit of gardening t'day and cleared one of our four raised beds.
Now then, do we try and grow some veg again this year, or do we shoot the cat from next door that uses them as a toilet.
Lock and load if I had my way.
