Spot the error

It uses magnetic levitation - creating a magnetic field underneath the board which is repelled by a non-ferrous surface like iron underneath - allowing the board to levitate.

Re: Spot the error

Non-ferrous metal like iron?  Huh
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Maybe they've discovered / invented a new form of iron Huh
Of all the metals they could have chosen to illustrate the point, iron was the worst. Grin

Re: Spot the error

Pretty sure that the metal bit of our iron is made of aluminium, I think they make them lighter these days so she has fewer excuses not to have your shirts nicely crease-free.

Ferrous or non-ferrous?

Inducing Eddy currents, creating a magnetic field in a non-ferromagnetic surface underneath - allowing the board to levitate.
It would work better if everything was super-conducting.  Cheesy
I rather like the use of a magnet in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardware_disease

Kelvin would have to stoop very low to be a super conductor on that train.
