Spooky Electronics

I just plugged a laptop into the mains, connected a network cable and switched it on.

The TV across the room, which is networked, promptly switched into standby and back on again.

I seem to recall it doing so once before some time ago.

Spooky.

Re: Spooky Electronics

Would those be the same gremlins who knitted a scarf out of all the cables behind the TV.

Re: Spooky Electronics

Have you any more garish ones, @Mav -those are a bit muted for my tastes? Mind you, the gremlins might like 'em Cheesy

Having been dogged with bad luck with my cables I think one of these will do:

Re: Spooky Electronics

Got a plug socket in my attic that trips the rest of the house when you plug something into it and turn it on. But that's just because of a bad wiring job by the previous owner (who incidently is dead, so possibly haunting just that one socket).

Re: Spooky Electronics

When I switch on my HP Laser printer, my IP Camera over the door crashes and takes a while to reboot, no idea why, so I just leave the printer on, uses naff all when in sleep mode anyway...
