Re: Something truly awful is happening to the (not) speaking clock

I remember one year asking my Dad if he had adjusted his clocks and he said 'Yes'.  When I checked he had moved them forward an hour instead of putting them back Grin Grin

Re: Something truly awful is happening to the (not) speaking clock

Contrary to popular opinion, the clocks should be changed on three days of the year, not two. These occassions are a) the moveable spring date set for the change of clocks to British Summer Time, b) the moveable autumn date set for the return of clocks to Greenwich Mean Time, and c) April Fools' Day.

I'm getting used to the sound of the Tinker Bell character on the soundclip provided. I have had it on loop for 3 days now.

I agree Geewizz, I rather like the Tinker Bell announcement.  Makes a nice change.  Hope they change it from time to time though or it could get boring.

No, bring back the speaking clock # 2, from the 1970's it was on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow, it stopt ded on the day that the lady died on, it is in the clock museum in London.

You can see the Antiques Roadshow Here

It was Pat Simmons on the Speaking Clock Run from1963 until 1985
