Quote Buckingham Palace has confirmed that US President Barack Obama will come to Britain on a state visit in May.
It is the first state visit by a US president since that of President George W Bush and his wife, Laura, in 2003.
President Obama came to the UK for the G20 summit in 2009 but that was not a state visit.
In July last year David Cameron visited Washington and met Mr Obama, who has now agreed to visit London on 24 May.

In the past I've seen Presidents stay at Winfield House, in Regents Park, which is the Ambassador's house.
Years ago I was coming out of Hyde Park, onto Bayswater Road, when Reagan's cavalcade swept into the park. Amazing number of vehicles for one person.

Well the state visit Is funded by the royal purse, his security is always his own & the UK presence of police will be from the SPQ & RPS, no extra tax payer cost. The Royal Wedding is being paid in full by both families & the policing is being paid for by the Queen again.
