Ok, who's your dream team from the last 50 years:
Boycott
Edrich
Botham
Randall
Underwood
Knott
Willis
Pietersen
Amiss
Hoggard
Snow

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: So...Who do we pick for the next test.......?

You can't drop Broad. Just can't. His batting has been holding up the entire tail and let's be fair, he's been doing better than most of the middle order!
Strauss
Cook
Vaughan
Pietersen
Bell
Flintoff
Broad
Prior
Anderson
Sibo
Panesar
Very surprised you're keeping Ambrose in the side. I'd take Hoggard over Panesar for a non turning pitch.
Not sure about Simon Jones' fitness yet (because I don't really watch the county championship!).

Know what you mean about Broad, he is so talented but his bowling lacks penetration and he's there primarily as a bowler; definitely one for the future.
Jones this year in County Cricket 32 wkts at 16.03,  Shocked does it for me!
And like I said, leave Tiny Tim alone!  Wink

Excellent choices Petlew but, continuing my 'pick a Warwickshire player at all costs' theme, I'd have to have Tom Cartwright instead of Hoggy

Re: So...Who do we pick for the next test.......?

I'd actually take Broad as our allrounder and have Freddie in there as a specialist bowler. Yes, Broad does need to improve, but that will come with increased variation and experience.  I reckon he'll get a bit quicker in time too.
Reckon Prior is worth another shot as afaik his batting record this season has been solid.  Not a fan of Ambrose.
If Jones is fit and on form, definitely take him over Hoggard. Thought Anderson was horribly unlucky in the last test and thought he bowled really well.

I know he's blotted his copy-book, but I'd still pick Collingwood, damn fine player when he's on fire.
