Re: Sky on Freesat

As HB says they've been on Freeview some time.  I can't say I've watched them though.  When it come to news I prefer BBC over Sky.

Re: Sky on Freesat

I had Freesat for a while, I like having the choice of SKY News, or BBC News.
I couldn't understand why I kept getting ads for Northern Ireland, on Freesat, once I had "Added channel" SKY News, by entering the tech details.
There are two feeds ! on satellite, I had chosen the wrong one !

I can only get BBC News on my Freeview Lite.

I used my SKY box to receive SKY News ( and some others such as Film4 ) , and recorded onto DVD.

As it is, I've gone back to SKY+HD a couple of weeks back.
A new, Free SKY+HD box with free installation, £50 credit & half price subs for 12 months !
I knew they'd ring, 3 months after I cancelled, with a great offer.

Still, it's good to know SKY News is now on Freesat, where it can  now be recorded easily ( Paper Reviews )
If I replace a SKY box with Freesat in another room.

Re: Sky on Freesat

Personally I find Freesat offers more, these days, than Freeview. so additions are always welcome.
No real motivation to get Sky as when there's nothing live we've got recordings to watch on Humax Freeview box.

Re: Sky on Freesat

Last year we didn't get to watch nearly half of what we wanted to. Now with YouView we'll watch most but shame it doesn't include Freesat.
If I listed the channels I mainly watch they'd be BBC1/2, ITV1, Dave, Challenge, Quest and CBSAction.
