I've got sky (it was the cheapest way to get any tv in Bracknell!)

What's wrong with FreeSat?

It didn't exist when we signed up and to be honest; a fair few of the channels we watch aren't on freesat (or at least they weren't last time I checked).

@artmo for someone that follow tennis you should know that it has been designed for adverts. At one time play was continuous even when changing ends it was the USA that introduced a break when changing ends so adverts could be run.

You should watch tennis on US TV to know that's not so.  They force their commercials into the game and sometimes ruin the flow completely.

It seems the teams are not sure about this: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/93455

Re: Sky get sticky paws on F1

@itsme, thanks for the link of Maureen Connelly - Little Mo.  Such a great player who had to retire from the sport at 19 and sadly died at 34.  One of her coaches was 'Teach' who taught her to serve by throwing rackets over the net - odd but it worked Smiley

Since I don't have Sky, I wouldn't mind if they grab 100% of a programme second only to Golf in the boredom stakes.

Re: Sky get sticky paws on F1

Fans of American wrestling formerly WWF and Now WWE know how much adverts spoil the viewing, Just In the middle of someone getting a right kick In and then an advert kicks In, Few minutes later they are back on but by that time you have missed the best part!! And for how much a month? Yeah, I don't think so

Re: Sky get sticky paws on F1

I am absolutely bloody furious about this. I have signed the petitions.
I won't have Sky either so that would not be an option plus adverts and FI don't work any way.
I am thinking I might as well not watch any of them as watch half.
From the article Jelv linked to

In addition to our award-winning TV output, we will continue with our exclusive radio coverage on 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra

What a complete [Censored] Ben Gallop is if he thinks a suitable alternative is to listen to F1 on the [Censored] radio.
The first comment on that blog sums it up for me

Not good enough Ben.
Not everyone can afford Sky, not with rising fuel and food prices.
F! has priced me out of going to Silverstone, now the BBC has priced me out of watching on telly.
Not sure I can be bothered watching half a season. 2011 has been brilliant coverage from the BBC. After that, I am done.
