Sky defoxestration.

Fox News is being given the boot by Sky, who claim it has nothing to do with their current negotiations. Do you really believe  that and the closure is because of audience share? Could it be that an further reason is that Fox is too close to Trump and ultra rightism, that is noxious to UK viewers.

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

The audience share is zero in my house Grin
I must have been really bad in a previous life. This is my 3rd ISP in a row that uses lithium.

Re: Sky defoxestration.

quite misleading first line of the OP.
"sky" hasn't given the channel the boot.
it is Fox that has withdrawn their channel from the UK.

i can't quite believe that it's simply not worthwhile paying the broadcast costs for very little viewing return.
channels come and go from the sky EPG all the time due to that reason.

I'm still amazed that some people actually pay for a TV subscription.

Re: Sky defoxestration.

Yep, I should cancel as I hardly ever use it. Only really watch the news and the occasional repeat of something once aired x years ago.

For around £80 a month for everything it is too much.

As I have two dish feeds already in the house, I just need to give them notice and could get a Freesat recordering box thingy. I believe it is the same dish alignment anyway (Astra 28.2), so should be a case of just plugging it in, retune etc.

True, it's same satellite you receive signal from. I never had paid for Sky but before I went Freesat was on Sky freesat
