He had real style and charisma that man, what a shame he's passed.

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

I used to think he was the best Bond but I now feel each bought something different/good to the franchise. But Sir Roger Moore seemed a true gentleman. I remember he did a good stint on Have I Got News For You.

He lived and now he let die. RIP.

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

Never my cup of tea but crikey, has he had an interesting career.

Started out as a male (what else) model I think but my first memory of him was as Ivanhoe on television. I wonder if and when he gets to that great upstairs - assuming there is one, they'll automatically make him a Saint again? Angel

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

A tragic loss! He was the ultimate Bond actor followed by Timothy Dalton and then Brosnan. The others are all [-Censored-].

A very sad day indeed.

Incidentally has anyone else noticed how @artmo seems to enjoy posting topics about people dying?

I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

I have posted my fair share of 'death reports'. It can be nice to discuss that person and share thoughts, etc. Can't say enjoying it is the right way to describe it, thoughRoll eyes

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

Sad, I never realised he was that old.

I blame that on TV.

Particularly Ivanhoe and early The Saint fighting giant ants.

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

It was only a couple of weeks ago that I was watching OHMSS and remarked how amazing that all Bonds are still alive.

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

I wouldn't say the best Bond ever, but it's definitely up there.

Nonetheless, today's been the worst day I've had since Christopher Lee passed away. Cry

RIP Roger Moore

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

My favourite Moore Bond quote is when he accidentally swallows the bullet that was being used as a charm by a belly dancer in The Man With The Golden Gun. "I've lost my charm!" she says tearfully. "Not from where I'm standing" quips BondFunny

Re: Sir Roger Moore Dies

@Mav -watched that Sunday afternoon - a really good Bond - but there again, I always like the older Bond movies - they had action AND wit.
