Silent night, silent shopping.

Just back from the supermarket and yep, christmas carols at full blast coming from a choir in the checkout area. I'm all for giving if you must (in this case it was for the Girl Guides) but seven renditions in under an hour of 'Silent Night' with a backing track at full volume..... I was glad to get out of there!

You have to feel sorry for the Supermarket Staff who have at least another 6 days of listening to the same old Christmas Music loop !!

They were all very busy this morning, with Cages everywhere....

And as far as I am concerned that is where many shoppers should be placedCheesy

Re: Silent night, silent shopping.

Never mind the carols, they make a nice change from the incessant "Thank you for shopping at (insert name of supermarket)" and "Unexpected item in bagging area" from the self-service check-outs.  Morrisons, just to be different I suppose, use "Surprising item in bagging area"; one could argue that there is a difference between unexpected and surprising.

Would Inspector Sands please come to the Checkout area?

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Silent night, silent shopping.

The one that amuses me is "Would the store detective please report to the manager's office" in a one-aisle corner shop.
