Which isn't bad for a 4000kbps  profile

Sheesh that's some limit like on your first result Oldjim Shocked And the forum was no slower than usual? Does that mean you have succumbed to the forums slowness?  Shocked

What it means is that the forum slowness is, or appears to be, unrelated to connection speed

Yes but the limit does not limit web browsing speed anyway, Or does It?

Re: Shows what happens when you set a usage limit - back on speed tomorrow

It limits everything - it is like adding a 256kbps profile
I am not sure how much the upstream is limited but it is

Ah, I thought It would cripple everything but web browsing, Good speed on your second result though, From what Ive picked up you have worked well to get the best out of your line.

Re: Shows what happens when you set a usage limit - back on speed tomorrow

Just to say - I would hazard a guess that in addition to the 256kbps downstream and (i think) 164kbps upstream limiting (oh and FTP + p2p + usenet are completely blocked aswell), all your traffic is placed in the Bronze or Best Effort? queue, but the cause of our insane packet loss for when we hit our usage limit could be something else entirely:
(Note when the packet drops start is when we hit our 80GB limit)

and one from January:

Re: Shows what happens when you set a usage limit - back on speed tomorrow

You've just reminded me that I need to whitelist the Community Site and Plusnet website from the rate limit when you hit the usage allowance the next time I make some changes to the traffic management system, I'll add that to my list.
