Sheffield

There was another event on in Sheffield last week going into the weekend that I did watch live on the Red Button and was disappointed to see how small the crowds were. The event was the World Champions Short Course Skating. Hope this is not indicative of the crowds excepted at some of the minority sports at the Olympics.

Re: Sheffield

Well I was about to watch a bit of it but ended up watching all the races.
Very exciting stuff and the 18 year old South Korean Noh Jinkyu was the star of the show.
The athletes who commented on the support in the Arena were satisfied with the turn-out.
I would go down to the Arena to watch this sport.

Re: Sheffield

Re minority sports at the Olympics, we had Lord Coe  up in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago rattling his collection tin again, and he had the entire nation agog with the announcement  that  Scotland is to get eight preliminary matches in the women's football, provided they get sufficient entries.
That should put the latest Auld Firm dustup in its place!!
