There is someone who lives in Scarborough, called Stephen...

 

Today, just before 7pm, he felt the Earth move.

It was an Earthquake !!

Must be the most exciting thing that's happened in Scarborough for years and most of the residents were unaware of it !

What about the 4.2 magnitude that hit Kent on May 22 2015 in the early hours. I remember it well.

There was a 5.2 magnitude MARKET RASEN,LINCS on 27th February 2008.

A decade would be 2008-2017? or 5 Jan 2007-4 Jan 2017?  Either way the Lincs quake is within range and 5.2 is > 3.9.

Even if a decade is defined as 2010-2019 the one in Kent was greater than the one near Scarborough.

Daily Mail living up to its reputation when reporting scientific stories!
