@daveplus

There goes your defence.

"Sorry m'lud, but I didn't know"

Judge bangs gavel.

"Fined one million pounds with six months hard labour"

😃

Re: Seriously! What a hypocrite.

In the days when fish and chip shops used to wrap their meals in newspapers, did they ever get fined for breach of copyright?

In any case, I can't see the last line of page one in Firefox or Adobe Acrobat Reader so the article wasn't reproduced in its entirety, not that that is any defence.

Probably not - did you ever try reading those pages after they (a) got very greasy an (b) all the print had run?😁

Re: Seriously! What a hypocrite.

Whilst Boris may not be up to the job as PM, it worth comparing him to other world leaders and past PM’s many of them were not up to the job either depending of course on your political leaning.

Politics like everything else has changed, at one time all the money people knew each other and usually helped each other through back room deals etc so politics for the rich and famous was a good thing to be involved with and whilst some of these things still go on the rapid distribution of information to the public has made it much harder for those involved.

In summary, who in their right mind would want to be a Prime Minister these days, is anyone in any party really up to the job.

Re: Seriously! What a hypocrite.

I seem to remember something I was told in skool, that the term "Prime Minister" was a "joke" to hide the real meaning of "First Fool"...   but never quite understood, what the teacher was saying about it, during the politics/economics lessons ... just something that has "stuck with me" ever since..

In effect... the P.M.. is only a "mouthpiece" for his "advisors"... so it begs the question... has he got the right advisors? ?    and that goes for ANY flavour of P.M. really I suppose..

Re: Seriously! What a hypocrite.

A very astute response...  but totally useless....regarding the content of the thread overall.

No, that's why they keep saying, "Lessons will be learnt." whenever they fall short.

Re: Seriously! What a hypocrite.

Watched 'Have I Got News for You' earlier and crikey, Ian Hislop didn't half lay into Cummings.

Well done that man. 👍
