Sense at last, and France leads the way in putting a nail in the coffin of all that vegetarian nonsense of nicking names in order to hide cabbages, carrots and quorn in sausages, pies....... and even barbecues.
Burger = meat
Steak = meat
Chops = meat
Chicken nuggets = meat
Pies = meat.
Mince = meat
Go veggie by all means but jeepers, call it for what it is and it's never ever a quorn sausage or heaven forbid, a quorn bacon butty!

And frogs legs? I suppose they're classed as meat..personally I'd class 'em as 'disgusting'.

Ah yes, mincedmeat or mincemeat.
Confusing I know.
And while we are on the subject, veggie food shaped like cutlets or chops - what's all that about?

Like chicken apparently but like deep fried pigs trotters, tripe and snails, never tried them and never wanted to.
Even us meat eaters have some standards!

How ironic you're championing some European bureaucracy...

I think not.
Pies = meat.
I'm [-Censored-]ed if I want meat in my apple pies!

Well the French are certainly bureaucratic I'll give you that, and I've experienced enough of it to last me a lifetime but this is not that is it, it's common sense not irony.

Well my son over there loves em' but I refuse totally to pay over the odds for something so fiddly, faddish, and which leaves me feeling like those restaurants are having a laugh.
Much rather have a bread roll while I'm waiting for that main course than something looks and tastes like a bit of skinny chicken.

No.
You never see mincemeat at the butchers.
It's usually labelled minced beef or minced lamb. Never just mince meat.
