That is irrelevant though who is leading the country into debt the point is Scotland is already in debt.  Must be a Scottish election coming up

well actually. the UK as a whole is in debt.
Scotland have only recently had to power to borrow on their own (since 1707 they haven't), so they themselves could never have been in debt previously.
