Just had a scam text from HSBC as I don't bank with HSBC
It was very convincing came in as from HSBC not just a number so if anyone did bank with them they may get caught
We tried to contact you
regarding your online Banking.Please verify your
account details . http://security-hsbc-verify.giize.com
So if you do bank with HSBC be aware

If you put your email address in here you can probably confirm that the bad guys have got your email address and possibly the source of the leak. https://haveibeenpwned.com/ I would change my email address, I know it’s a pain but it also clears out the regular dross from organisations that you no longer deal with.

The domain name is glize.com , an advertising agency. I doubt if there's a connection with HSBC...

@Baldrick1 I don't think that will be of much help, to be honest. This sounds more like the bad guys are finding the email or landline call options they usually use are being sussed by too many people, so now they use the same 'scatter-gun' technique via text. Only problem with that is that no bank would ask you to click a link in a text, in fact I think they explicitly advise against it.

It intrigues me as to how someone can create a sub-domain on a domain without the owners knowing.......
