Re: Scaling The Shard

Wow - I bet Shell's share price is dropping already given this news.
Look forward to them changing policy tomorrow then. Roll eyes
Sure it'll be as effective as the 8-10 people who protest outside the Saudi Arabia embassy once a week near where I work.

Re: Scaling The Shard

Ah Ha! They've finally realised the Shard is in fact a giant BP drilling rig in disguise.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Scaling The Shard

I think Greenpeace may have miscalculated this stunt.  Most of the reaction has been negative Wink

Re: Scaling The Shard

I suspect the general public is getting fed up with this sort of futile demonstration (has any organisation ever changed its policy as a result of this sort of "prank")
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Scaling The Shard

They should be made to pay for the 3 ambulances, Police and other services that had to be deployed throughout the day.  That would have them munching on their muesli Smiley

Just invoice Greenpeace for cost. Greenpeace will then probably disown the climbers which will make the whole climb futile.

Re: Scaling The Shard

Greenpeace is remaining very quiet today, after a very back-slapping day yesterday.  Most observers see the operation as a prank that didn't achieve a positive result.  The muesli munchers didn't even manage to unfurl their banner at the top Embarrassed
