Re: Salvation Army

A lot of talk about libraries and other essential services being cut or reduced.
Only time will tell which ones as each authority will have a different priority.
What is certain, is that there will be cuts and some very severe ones as a result of the reduced amount councils have to spent.
Not sure if it's true but some newspaper reports have suggested the cuts in the North will be more severe as they employ more Government staff.
I have not given any refrences for that last statement as it may be pure speculation by the press, we will have to wait and see.

Re: Salvation Army

Had a quick look at the SA site for the UK, and couldn't find anything about this.  I'd be really interested in the link.

Re: Salvation Army

i can use google, perhaps the original post could have been a bit clearer.
"I was talking to someone, who as an aside happens to be in the salvation army, and he said blah blah"
because really what does your post have to do with the sally ally? nothing.

Re: Salvation Army

And I always thought that the BBC was a non commercial service, a couple of weeks ago they had this lot on BBC Essex talking about meals on wheels  http://www.tiptree-meals.co.uk/70250/info.php?p=2&pno=0
