Rural Fibre to the home

It will be interesting to see if Fujitsu can get some public funding for their proposal to deliver Fibre to the Home in rural areas.  I can't see BT being too keen on this.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

I believe that's old news and BT I believe are resigned in allowing access to ducts and telegraph poles.

Re: Rural Fibre to the home

Is this the same proposal from Fujitsu from a few months back? If so I thought I'd heard this is already dead in the water. Sad
And, I can tell you this is not going to be a 100% FTTH solution, in many rural areas, bundles of cable have been laid in a trench and filled in again, there is no ducting, therefore it is not a simple case of pulling a fibre cable through to each home!

This was perfectly illustrated recently by local builders who dug up said cable last week with an excavator!
