Royal Variety Performance...

Tonight at 7:30 ITV1.
I remember when it used to be peak Sunday night viewing.
Looking at the 'play' list I'm not particularly inspired:
Host  John Bishop
Attraction
Bryn Terfel
Caro Emerald
Chas & Dave
Dame Edna Everage
Gareth Malone
Voices
Gary Barlow
Flavia Cacace
Hal Cruttenden
Harry Hill
Jason Byrne
Jessie J
Jimmy Carr
John Newman
Mary J Blige
Olly Murs
Only Men Aloud
Rizzle Kicks
Seann Walsh
Jayne Torvill
Christopher Dean
Torvill & Dean, Olly Murs, Mary J Blige & Gary Barlow should be OK. Chas & Dave should be good for a laugh.
I'll record it and skip the bits I don't like Wink

Re: Royal Variety Performance...

Years ago it was regular annual viewing but I haven't watched it for a few years and have no desire to.

Re: Royal Variety Performance...

John Bishop is a good bloke, very down to earth and funny IMO.
I didn't watch the show last night though, I watched one of my Blu Rays instead then went to bed about 10 PM.

(and I can`t say I have heard of 90% of the cast list either....  Undecided )

Re: Royal Variety Performance...

How about a comparison with the performers for the The Silver Jubilee Royal Variety Gala?

Re: Royal Variety Performance...

Chas and Dave haven't been relevant since the late 70s/early 80d, not that they were ever that good to begin with.

Oh, I don't know - I always liked 'Dahn To Marga'e' and 'Rabbit' Cheesy

Re: Royal Variety Performance...

They used to be very popular and have made a good living out of their act ever since Wink
