Router

Hi all,  I have been with Plusnet for about 12 years although  "ashamedly"   I'm new to the Plusnet Community.

I have just changed my package to Fibre Broadand,  Received my new Plusnet hub one router yesterday, so all set up now; thankfully without any problems.  But I am at a loss of what to do with my old router, can it be used? do I recycle? Do I send it back to Plusnet?  ORHuh  I would appreciate any suggestions. Many thanks. briggsby.

Re: Router

Sell it on Ebay... !   always someone wants a cheap router... to mess around with, or to replace a duff one..

Re: Router

Why not give it away. There's bound to be someone who could benefit fron it.

Re: Router

You could use it to extend Wifi around your home.

Re: Router

@briggsby That's a nice gesture. For what you'd get for it on ebay I don't think it would have been worth the trouble.

Re: Router

don't forget to do a factory reset on it - otherwise it will still have all your details saved!

Re: Router

...and ask for it to be deregistered from your account. If someone uses it on another PlusNet connection it will automatically configure with your account details.

edit: just noticed it is 12 years old, probably way before auto configuration so its not likely a problem
