Returning defective goods

Quite often when returning a defective product, you are asked/told to use the original packing. How many actually keep the packing? much of today's packing is designed for single use anyway, and doesn't lend it'self to being reused. Most would probably need a small personal warehouse to keep it all in.
But my favorite is; in 1970 the Procrastinators Club of America demanded a full refund from London's Whitechapel Foundry as the Liberty Bell had cracked in 1835, The foundry graciously agreed, provided the item could be returned in it's original packing.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Returning defective goods

Some years ago I saw the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, it occured to me on seeing the crack, that never again in America would it ring out for freedom.
American friends didn't really appreciate my opinion when I told them.
