Report reveals drop between peak and off-peak surfing

[quote=BBC News]UK broadband speeds drop by an average of 35% from their off-peak highs when most people are online in the evening, according to a report.
The research, conducted by the comparison site Uswitch, was based on two million broadband speed tests.
The peak surfing times between 7pm and 9pm were the slowest to be online, the report said.
There were also huge regional variations between evening and early morning surfing times.
The report suggested the best time to be online was between 2am and 3am.

It required research to find out the UK Internet slows down in the evening!?
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

I assume they conducted similar research the show that the roads are quieter when people are asleep.

... or are the roads quieter at night because drivers go home to use the internet -

I tried going to sleep while driving and it didn't make the roads any quieter Undecided

My passengers did get louder though Undecided

Well, well.. now we know where stupid amounts of money are being spent. Silly surveys that tell us the blatantly obvious.
I found elsewhere on another site some more interesting surveys, results and costs:

After £500,000 worth of research revealed that passengers like their trains to run on time, RSSB has commissioned three more research programmes with the aim of providing definitive answers to ages-old questions -
