Well that would be fitting.

Re: Redknapp to replace Capello

Hey! I know nothing about football and don't even like the (modern) game much, but I do wonder how a man who self-admittedly can't write, use a computer, send texts, know anything about email, can have held down such a high profile job for so long in this day and age.
I'm not criticising him, just curious...

I expect a pretty high percentage of MP's are managing just that.

Re: Redknapp to replace Capello

Regardless of his "education" or lack of it... he still lives on "millionaires row" at Sandbanks, near Poole in Dorset..... Cheesy
and where abouts do you live? with all your knowledge of computers, email, etc etc etc.?  Undecided
Me? I live on the coast, 50 yards from the sea, and in a beautiful spot. (but it ain`t millionaires row !)

That's right.  Sandbanks is some of the most expensive real estate in the world. Not bad for someone who admits to being illiterate Cool

Being semi-literate would probably give Harry an advantage when communicateing with the England players.

Re: Redknapp to replace Capello

The FA will need very deep pockets if they want to buy Redknapp out of his contract with Spurs....
Although, they must have several million going spare with not having to pay Capello all the £6million this year, so a few million to pay off spurs and a few for Redknapp... job done!
<conspiracy mode on>
Seems very convenient that Redknapp was cleared of tax evasion today  Roll eyes Roll eyes Roll eyes

Re: Redknapp to replace Capello

I think it`s totally obscene what England football managers (and footballers) get paid.    I mean how can it be right that they earn more (probably 100 times more) than a top surgeon who saves lives or a soldier fighting and probably dying for his country.

Harry Rednapp has all the credentials for a knighthood now, not to mention a (another) huge bonus.

"I...errrrr.......how you say......I...errrrrr......."
"You want to tender your resignation Mr Capello?"
Capello turns to interpreter and has a brief conversation.
"Si....I mean yes"
